Sign Installation Instructions
When you receive your sign be sure to open your package carefully. It was carefully wrapped to ensure safe transit. Paint dries to the touch in 24 to 48 hours but it actually takes about 6 months for all the layers of paint to fully cure so your sign is more susceptible to damage during this period, so please handle with care.
Your sign has been waxed with liquid car wax prior to shipping. All you need to do now is put it up*. For our guarantee we recommend that you wash and wax it once (or twice a year, if your sign rests in direct sunlight). Never wash or wax the 23K gold leaf!
If you did not allow us to pre-drill your sign, you must pre-drill your sign before screwing hardware into it, pre-drill your sign with a drill bit that is either as large as your hardware or slightly larger. Your sign is made of extira, a very hard and dense substrate, if appropriate pre-drilling is not done you risk cracking or splitting the sign.
